Yes, it's store bought and yes, maybe I should upgrade, but I didn't appreciate the nature of the comments nor is that the way to make a sale on your higher quality skin care products. Unfortunately my expectations did not measure up with my experience.įirst I received a facial that was indeed very relaxing and overall pretty enjoyable, however the Esthetician made a few snide comments that rubbed me the wrong way, such as "Oh, you're getting more treatments?" when I told her I had a manicure/pedicure later in the day and "Okay well, it's really time to step up your skincare routine now, how old are you?" after I told her what product I used to wash my face every day. I'm the type of consumer who wants to know what I'm paying for.I was so excited to visit this spa as I had heard great things about it and was really looking forward to a relaxing day off from work. I wish there was a website and/or pamphlets with their price listings.
I can understand how they may fall behind, especially during their peak times, but the point is to make an appointment. She told me this is the best way for them to be fair and stay on schedule with their clients. I was told that they only take appointments, which is especially important during their busy season. I tip cash anyways, because I know it's more convenient for the staff. I've been to many nail salons that only accept cash tips. Observations/Tips- You can tip via credit card, which is convenient. My technician added some glitter polish on top of my gel manicure for a cute finish, which was a nice bonus.
The nail technicians helped me choose a new color and changed it up. The original color I picked for my pedicure was too light, but I couldn't really tell until it was put on my toes. As mentioned in a previous review, there are tub liners in the pedicure booths, which is a nice hygiene device. The salon is clean, well maintained, and the pedicure chairs are comfy. I came on a Tuesday afternoon at 1pm and it was empty, so there was no rush and the two technicians (which unfortunately, I have forgotten their names) were great.
